November Thanksgiving Trip!

We’ve finally packed up for our fun road trip from Jackson Hole, Wyoming to visit my family for Thanksgiving in California.  Leaving the Wild West, we say goodbye to our western “duds” and researched Liz’s closet for our Holiday Road Trip.

We had some snow when we left, so I wore my favorite dot grey turtleneck (available here), grey cashmere leggings (available here), and one of my favorite purchases this year, my tweed jacket (available here) from Suzusan. It works over both pieces.

We arrived in California the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Since it was a sunny & crisp fall forecast for the week leading up to Thanksgiving, I packed the following:

Frenckenberger light weight sweat pants in grey mélange, grey tank, and grey mélange sweater. It’s chilly…. so I threw in the bag the heavy weight sweat with the red stripe for accent and warmth.

I also added a blue/grey Shibori cashmere sweater from Suzusan to go with a blue legging and the light weight grey mélange sweat pant if needed. Also, I don’t leave home without my blue polka dot cashmere sweater and scarf. I always have with me my AODRESS Coat in Navy/Black to throw on at anytime when we visit friends.

Saturday Night…. I was dead tired when we arrived. I threw on my Vintage French Linen night gown ( ask me to buy more vintage French linen night gowns from the French Open public Market ) then I threw on my Grandpa sweater in cashmere/silk from Frenckenberger.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving I pulled out my favorite dinner dress from AODRESS. Navy cotton with velvet beaded border to go to a great restaurant with four other friends.

Since they are so easy to pack, I always have with me my two silk dresses from AODRESS . My yellow dress with patches and my navy silk dress with patches both working with my staple Navy/Black coat.

My plans for Thanksgiving Day:

Thanksgiving Morning cooking! Sweats and T-shirts and if it’s cool, I’ll throw on my RED easy tunic dress from Frenckenberger with my go-to Bear apron.

Time for a beautiful sit down dinner and I hope I’ll have time to put on my blue velvet to and pant from AODRESS. I  promise to send pictures.

The day after Thanksgiving is a day for relaxation! However, my sister and I will find time to do a little shopping. It’s cool fall weather so I’ll throw on once again another favorite of mine, my pink cashmere pullover and scarf from Suzusan with a green leather baggy from Dusan.

Then all of us are going to one of our favorite Japanese restaurants so either I’ll stay in my pink sweater or if I have time to change to my yellow silk dress and my pullover bronze sweater from Suzusan.

Saturday will be time to say goodbye and head home wearing what I wore when we came.

Please watch my Instagram for pictures from my trip.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
